Spring Beauty
These are appropriately named 'Spring Beauties' [Claytonica Virginica] and are found in many places throughout Carson Road Woods often right under your feet within grassy trails and many wooded areas. They tend to close on cold or cloudy days and open on sunny days revealing delicate peppermint stripes within.

Isolated Bradford Pear
There is something magical about the early blooms set against the monochromatic Spring backdrop of still leafless trees. If you look carefully however there whisps of color hinting that the show is far from over.

Bradford Pear
The Bradford Pear are beautiful this year, their branches look like they are covered in popcorn!
